Mark your calendar and attend the GEC virtual open house event to learn more about the school, how to apply, and complete an iExcel orientation all in one session. 

The GEC Virtual Open House events run Wednesdays, from 1 pm – 2 pm, during the month of September only.

DC Residency Document Submission Requirements (for Washington, DC residents only)

Your document must be dated on or after April 2, 2025, and show a valid DC address. Accepted documents include:

  • Recent paystub (within 45 days, with DC taxes only)
  • DC Benefits Letter (SNAP, TANF, Medicaid – from District Direct or DHS)
  • Shelter/Ward letter (dated and on agency letterhead)
  • DC Driver’s License + Car Registration (addresses must match)
  • Utility Bills (2 consecutive months + proof of payment + DC ID with same address)
  • Full lease + rent receipt + DC ID (addresses must match)

Additional Enrollment Requirements for Minors

Please submit the following documents with you to orientation:

  • Complete Math & Reading Assessments (new students only)
  • Applicant’s Birth Certificate
  • School Withdrawal Form (if applicable)
  • High School Transcript (if applicable)
  • IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
  • Immunization Records (required for students age 26 and under)
