Dear GEC family,

Congratulations on a tremendous Term 1. On behalf of the entire GEC team, we are all so proud of you and the growth in our GEC Community! We want you to celebrate your growth and commitment to yourself and your goals!

Today is the last Day of Term 1 and we want to share some important updates, dates, and information as we close out Term 1 and head into Term 2.

Important Term 2 Dates:

  • Wednesday 10/16 – Last day of Term 1
  • Thursday 10/17 and Friday 10/18: No classes – We will be working on your Term 2 schedules at this time. You will have your final Term 1 grades!
  • Monday 10/21 and Tuesday 10/22: No classes – Your coach will be reaching out to you about your Term 2 schedule to make any adjustments or schedule changes. 
  • Wednesday 10/23: Day 1 of classes for Term 2! Come to your school, pick up your schedule, meet with your coach, and engage in classes! 
  • Schedule changes: You can adjust your schedule during the first week of classes, so please make sure you are in communication with your coach.
  • PowerSchool logins: Make sure you have access to PowerSchool so you can review your Term 1 grades! Ask your coach for your login if you don’t have it.  
  • Wednesday 11/27 – Friday 11/29: GEC is closed for Thanksgiving Break 
  • Thursday 12/19: Last day of Term 2 
  • Friday 1/24: January Class of 2024 Graduation! More information to come! 

In Term 2, we look froward to celebrating our upcoming January graduates who are in their final academic term! Everyone will receive an updated graduation plan that reflects their progress towards graduation from Term 1, and you will review this with your coach.

Thank you for your commitment to yourself and your goals in Term 1. Thank you to our GEC Team for all they do each day to support our students. Please make sure you always contact your coach with any questions you have.
